What happens in people’s lives when they discover God through the study of His Word, the Bible? Come see for yourself!
The Raleigh evening class provides a coed study opportunity and meets in person on Thursday evenings from 7:00pm - 8:30pm at the North Raleigh Church of Christ. Each CBS lesson provides the opportunity to 1) read through the scriptures, 2) answer a series of discussion questions, 3) participate in a small group discussion of the answers, 4) listen to a teaching delivered by our class Teaching Director and then 5) read through a commentary prepared by a Bible scholar.
SCRIPTURE STUDY FOR CLASS YEAR 2024 - 2025
This year we will undertake an in-depth study of the Gospel of Matthew.
The Gospel of Matthew tells the story of Jesus the Messiah whose genealogy and miraculous birth are the sign and promise that “God is with us” (1:23), The writings of the early church fathers reveal that it was the most frequently quoted and perhaps the most widely read gospel during the first two centuries of the church's history. In it we find the fullest and most systematic account of the life and teachings of Jesus.
Fellowship is an integral part of the CBS experience. Besides the warm friendships that develop among the members of the small discussion groups, periodically the class members come together for wonderful potluck socials.
This year's class will begin on Thursday evening, September 5th. Those interested are encouraged to register as soon as possible. You may register for class online by clicking the link above. For more information on CBS, the summer social, or assistance with registration please contact our class Coordinator, Susan Baker at susannevinbaker@nc.rr.com.
