Community Bible Study

Due to the threat of dangerous weather the Raleigh Evening Community Bible Study Class scheduled for Thursday evening September 5th has been cancelled. The opening night of class is rescheduled for Thursday evening September 12th at 7:00 PM.

What happens in people’s lives when they discover God through the study of His Word, the Bible? See for yourself! Our class meets on Thursday evenings at 7:00 PM throughout the school year. Every class member receives a course book with a commentary and home study questions. Each week, you’ll participate in a small group discussion and a large group teaching. Fellowship meals are held periodically and provide special times of sharing and relationship building within the class.

This year's study is "Return to Jerusalem." God’s mercy and faithfulness to His people is the thread that runs throughout this study of Israel’s return from Babylonian exile. In spite of their sin, weakness, and doubt, God was true to His promises and helped His faltering people to rebuild and restore their broken lives. As you make your way through Ezra, Nehemiah, Esther, Haggai, Zechariah, and Malachi, you’ll see the big picture of God’s work in history. And you’ll be inspired by the examples of some of the servants God chose—people who played significant roles in fulfilling His purposes in the world. If you are looking for a caring, in-depth Bible study, please plan to join us.

This year's study will begin on September 12th, 2019. Class size is limited and those those interested in joining are encouraged to register as soon as possible. You may register online or for more information or assistance with registration please contact our class Coordinator, Susan Baker at
